With sore arms from the moto I took off with advice from Vali to back through the mountains.
Another solid climb with about 1200m altitude gain. Was a nice climb I attacked it hard.
Peak
Lake up in the mountians with a half built ski resort that never finished from the GFC I assume
Not sure what this guy was doing....
The decent down started with a complete piece of shit of a road but after it was great. The area had copped a one in 10 year rainfall 4 days earlier so alot of devestation around.
Road FAIL
Rail tunnell
I went over this sketchy looking bridge that connected to a mine looking industrial area (obviously abandoned long ago) thought i had found a cool campsite.....of course some weird guy already living there.....Romania.
I was just devo cause I was stocked with food and wanted to camp early and eat. Finally found a great spot.
Mici is my favourite now.
I was right to leave my rubbish 20m from tent as something came in the night and ripped it all open to get the remains, mess to clean up.
Actually its pretty sad, the locals all love to camp up in the mountains but they leave all their rubbish. then it all gets washed downstream....
Not so successful...
37 degrees, I love my retard hat.
came across these kids bridge jumping.
I had a jump, the kid not so great with camera. it was pretty shallow I cant believe they were going head first.
I saw these weird clearings on google maps I had to investigate, plus find a camp spot. drug plantation? ufo landing sites? I took off up the road
up this track
found the clearings, nothing there....disappointed. Not sure what they were there from? the forest was actually pretty sketchy. the mosquitoes and these other type of flies, especially around forest areas are absolutely intolerable now its end of summer. i literally race to build my tent up to get in the fly screen.
some words were yelled in that forest particularly....
no more camping unless i setup early.
view of carpathians were nice though
big power station on edge of romania, apparently 20% of romanian elec is provided by the hydro plant on the danube river where I will cross to serbia tomorrow.
Drobeta- something-something. i killed a day in this town cause of bad weather, that actually ended up clearing 10 mins after i paid for guesthouse.....
medieval fortress.....i guess being rebuilt.
